Death
In the darkness, the corners of the earth
It haunted the one against many
Invisibly following them from the edge
Always there, unseen
Its shadow hunted in the darkness
Stalked and waited
To feud with everlasting life
And end the grief, the sorrow, the suffering
As dark as the air, as black as the rain
Seek it if you dare
Fate will not be in your favor
God cannot protect you
The mighty hero makes his journey
Always seen; by scheming demise, seeking sorrow
Light and life fleeing away together
It has swept our race
Taken warriors in their strength
Death; the mighty-jawed figure
Ready for him to sleep in the fire
Chanting and feasts, and golden cups and the glorious banner
His strength, of the strongest soldiers
His string of days on earth, seen
Pleasure gone, as life would go
That brave king, faced it alone
Gone to a glorious death
