A Girl Can Only Dream
I remember my excitement
 And my exhilarating heart
 That was with me as
 I approached those
 Enormous, wooden doors.

 The girls start to panic
 As names are
 Being heard,
 Last minute hairspray
 Fills the air,
 Quick, fiery lipstick
 To the mouth.

 The bulky doors peel open
 As we reveal in sight,
 Our glistening teal gowns
 And hair curled so tight.

 I remember my look
 As he announced my name,
 My sweaty palms clench
 And my heart
 Skips a beat.

 The blaring, loud noises
 And waves of our bouquets,
 Made the experience enchanting
 And a feeling a girl
 Can only dream.

With a flash of an eye
 My entrance is all over,
 My face at ease
 And hands resettle.

 I stand next to
 The bride,
 Her beauty so pure,
 Eyes that sparkle, and

 I imagine myself
 One day,
 Having another
 First time, walking down this
 Aisle.
