In Spite of This, I'm Staying
And when the sun shines
Or our moon gradually disappears,
Who is left for you?
It is a boy,
Here for you.
The numbness may bring temporary pleasure,
But the harsh, unforgiving waves of the world won't slay the monsters that stealthily deteriorate you.
It is a boy, instead,
Who puts forth his strongest, warmest hand,
Knowing that killing the monsters that kill her take with them a part of its victim.
Yet she cries in despair for hope from the heavens
When her savior, trapped in a foolish love-dazed boy's body
Patiently waits.
Waits for the time when all has deserted her.
Boldly, yet unknowingly charging forward to bring her back,
Soon to experience forlornness,
For what he revived is too great for him,
A young soldier prepares himself for the battlefield of war,
Armed with a loving heart big enough for only her.
Know it may not she,
But next to him is where she must be.
And know it may not he,
But only a companion is needed, like she.
Moons come and go,
But he is staying,
You should know.
