Watch a Girl in Blue
They stare at her amazed
The girl in blue.
Though she's never been fazed,
because the color blue is color true.
They watch her daily,
waiting for the color to change,
though she's ignored them,
and it never does.
They watch a girl
with blue hair and eyes
with a blue soul
They wait for a normal woman to unfurl,
who doesn't have to be reason for her families cries.
They watch the girl
who loves to fight
will never take flight.
Leaving everything to fight in war,
wanting freedom and more.
To be a part of the U.S. Marines
is one of her dreams.
The girl with blue hair,
never treated fair.
They stare at her amazed,
the girl in blue.
Though she's never been fazed,
the color blue is color true.
