Depth of my Soul Mate
I tend to be attracted to comforting people, the ones who will wrap me up in their arms. That's where I find my problem because, another body can warm up my skin but not my heart. Yes, I want somebody who can make me feel safe, but I need somebody who can understand the basis of why I am the way that I am. I need a mind that is as deep as mine, one that sees the thousands of possibilities for the meaning of "I'm tired." I crave somebody who will decode my words and my writings and pictures and actions. My match will be able to see symbolism when airplanes fly behind clouds and when flowers grow through cracks in the sidewalk. My scars be out constitution, our promise, and a written document representing my past. Maybe they'll come from a fractured background as well and our personal scripture will grow into a book. Not a bible or a holy piece, but something that means more to us than our signatures on each other's lips, the wow between two people. A special shade of violet that only we can see, because, we give each other something that we cannot experience any other way. We give each other all of our heart strings and dry elbows and wind-burnt cheeks until we own every inch of one another.
