"You exist because we allow it, and you will end because we demand it."

"I fade away into the night,
My eyes are closing in.
Shadows fleeing from the light,
My nightmares can begin."
Gone is the innocence of sixteen years
Replaced with the bitterness that now dwells within
Outwardly corrupted
Infected with black
Suffocating in reality
Drowning in the stream of society

Family, if there is ever such a thing
Betrayal, denial, forgotten
Gone is my father
Mother is my sister
Sister is my mother
Lost are the ones that care
Abandoned by my creatures
Left by myself

"Hast du etwas zeit fur mich?"
Nein, Niemond
Vergessen in den Schatten
Auch in fremden Zungen
Werden meine Worte das gleiche
Und immer noch missverstanden

Sanity... What is it?
Glass, ice...
Easily fractured, easily shattered
Built and held strong by System and Technic
Destroyed by greed, edacity, voracity, rapacity, avidity, zeal
Strived to be repaired by lies

"My name is Neo."
No, not self proclaimed
I've gone by many names
Selfish, Freak, You
But my name,
Not yet lost in the abyss of time...
Is Connor.

This was a poem for our "Yawp" assignment we had to do back in 10th grade. We had to tell about ourselves, and this is what poured out.
