A listless clock in the hall
Keeps me awake
It ticks along
Demanding I remember
Losing time
Gaining time
And everything in between
It's too slow
Or too fast
Never the exact right pace
I wonder
If ever
I will move with the time
As a wave
Moves against
The sand in an easy way
Together
Partnership
Will I ever be that way
Exactly
With the very
Universe we live in and
Love with our
Hearts and minds
Or will you and I ever
Be in sync
Together
With the world in all of time
