I stand up for addicts
I stand up for addicts,
Because no one truly knows,
What they go through.
Neither do I,
But I have witnessed it in my family.
Addicts feel like dirt,
Like they are trapped and cannot escape.
I connect this to my cousin,
He was an addict. Was.
For a long time,
He disgusted everyone.
It had even come down to not talking to him anymore.
Hanging around with the wrong group,
Will mess your life up.
How did it get so far?
Is there a way out?
My cousin went to rehab.
One of the smartest decisions he’s ever made.
It lasted 30 days,
On Sundays we went visit him.
Finally he finished and was free again,
We were all worried he would go back,
But he didn’t.
He started working,
He bettered himself so fast.
We are so proud of him now.
Just know to NEVER GIVE UP.
