Out into the world beyond
Beyond this place
Where I am trapped

On the inside looking out
Out into the perfect storm
Dark and drenching
Booming and streaking

On the inside looking out
Out across the ocean
Violent tossing waves
Crashing against the jagged rocks

On the inside looking out
Out to the sun
shining and bright
Setting over the ocean

On the inside looking out
Out into the darkness
Mysterious and waiting
For the light of tomorrow
