Barren trees, fallen leaves
Same old trees, but a growing me.
Months later, flowers bloom
Grass renewed, old sand dunes.

Now the swing set’s too old,
the slide too small,
But it’s all still there,
remnants of rushing tides—

in an ocean stretching for vast miles
