Curves are one of nature’s greatest treasures.
Adored by many, envied by many.
Curves, now that’s beauty.
Sweetie, take a look and celebrate these curves, like you mean it.
Men don’t look, they stare.
Diamonds aren’t a girl’s best friend, curves are.
Curves, curves, curves.
I am one curved beauty, jealous? Don’t be.
As I walk, the sun kisses my curves.
These curves are like a soldier, strong and fearless.
Has your fantasy come true yet? I’m just getting started.
Curves like me, curves like me.
The mirror embraces these gorgeous curves.
Sweetie, take a look and celebrate these curves, like you mean it.
They’ll leave you in a lost trance, like an enchanted spell.

In my Ethnic Literature class my teacher showed us a clip that a poet named Lucille Clifton recited her poem. The poem was about her hips and how they play a role in society. My teacher assigned us an assignment to write a poem using a body part.

This poem is dedicated to my best friend, Elizabeth Pippins and to all of the beautiful ladies out there. Enjoy :)

I want to help boost confidence and self-esteem :)
