you see her walk down the hall
with a smile on her face
laughing and joking around
not a thing out of place

She's cheer captain
straight A Student
she has the world at her feet
and all the awards and trophies to prove it
her life seems so perfect
but no one seems to notice the girl beyond the surface
the girls who feels as though she is nothing more than a piece of dirt
who feels worthless beyond repair.

She cries herself to sleep at night
she doesn't let a single thing past her lips
she has a collection of bracelets so large you could drown in them
all to hide the scars the are painted across her skin

she tried to run from the past but her past only haunts her
and in her dreams it only taunts her
they tell her that she will never succeed at anything
that she is the one who will fail at everything
the one who has failed
her past tells her that shes is worthless and unwanted
that she will amount to nothing and be defeated and the evil will succeed in the end.
