Too Far Gone
He sees the pain in my eyes
I’m dying inside
But he walks on, knows I’m too far gone
To be fixed
She watches the tears stroll down my cheek
It’s so clear that I’m weak
But she doesn’t know why,
Know why I’m dying inside
She can’t understand, doesn’t stand a chance
So she smiles and says “it’ll be okay”
And I nod, but think to myself “no it won’t”
She looks away, not here to stay
She knows I’m too far gone
To be fixed
They’ll all pretend to get it
I will always regret it,
Regret the way I lost it, let it slip away
Through my fingers like sand,
As the gashes sting my hand
And I know I’m too far gone
To be fixed
