My Poem

Childhood

I was sent to my room because I lied
Infuriated,
I thought I was justified

But this is fine
My room is my hideaway,
I don’t mind

I run to get the Gameboy
And I bolted under the bed
Here no one will annoy

I resort to Legos instead
Turning off the videogame,
I come out from under the bed

Building a tower like an architect
I stack the blocks higher and higher
I’m not done just yet

Seeming to like me,
They do not fall
Never ending, as I can see

I’m spending my time like I’m a millionaire
I don’t have a care in the world
The future is still up in the air.
