Rainy Day
I saw the pitter patter that drove so many mad rocking the people to sleep and feeding Earth’s fruits and grains,
Until God, in a fit of insecure emasculation screwed everything up for the rest of us!
I saw the pitter patter of rain, of acid falling in diabolical and beautiful patterns towards Earth,
Pieces of jagged glass shattering sidewalks and furnished country homes,
I saw the pieces fall into curious eyes,
Like saying the world is too new to explore,
Settle down,
Soaking and spreading cancerous blood throughout the rain-soaked Earth and sky,
“Look outside!” they said,
It hasn’t rained in years, a miracle it must be,
Stay inside or your pants will get muddy,
You’ll catch a cold,
But for 40 days and 40 nights the acid fell and eventually they had to go outside,
Until men drowned in their dominance and women drowned in their condescending smiles,
One by one only until reaching city hall,
It was there that the mayor declared the end to this storm,
And it was there that it ceased to rain,
And the people rejoiced in blind bloody gratitude!
