I Am the Words
I feel as though
my body
mind
and soul
were created by
the written word.
As though the
double helix
that codes for me
was made from
a certain combination of
words.
From my hair
to my face
my neck
and down my
torso
from the smooth skin
of my hips
to my knobby knees
and farther to the tips of
my toes.
Each part of me
is a story
that only I will know.
I am my very own
code of words.
Each bone is made
of compacted language.
It flows down my arms
my palms
my fingers and
out
of the tips
and into a pencil
where I will write the story
that builds me.
