There is no pasta left in my house
She went shopping seven hours ago
Before she left
She complained
That the garden was getting out of control
And the weeds were mixing in with the flowers
I didn’t even know we had flowers in our garden
I nodded anyway
Where did my mind go
When the poppies came to bloom
To an opium den in China
Or to your old room in Calcutta
When you used to be
Speaking In Tongues
I don’t think she’s coming back
Let the damn weeds grow
