One Earth
the wind it blows
so it goes
fully across this
mistreated land.
in search for the glow
that beams to & fro,
perhaps it may rise out of a miracle
this life does hold.
yet, the wind, it blows
so it goes
mucking up the land
sending chills down the spine
and hairs up on their very ends,
to never allow an escape to leave the stinging pain
that flows through our callused hands down to our broken knees
wearing all of us thin,
we forget where we begin
