I smile at the boy with the brown floppy hair,
Do I dare tellhim how much I really do care?
I would but I'm afraid,
Will he think of me the same?
I guess I will just continue on with this game.

Another year goes y,
And I find myself stuck on the same guy.
He now has short hair,
But I don't really care.
His eyes are still that same dark blue,
And oh how they make my heart swoon.
He's all I ever think about, all I really need.
Weekends are spent watching movies on the couch, going out to eat, and just lounging around.
Than one day, it all changed.
Watching him dance with another girl, well, it made my heart uncurl.
Now I find that I don't really need him anymore.
He'll always be my first love,
The one I felty apart of.
But than we fell apart,
He no longer takes over my heart.

I wrote this piece after having my first true love break my heart. This girl that he danced with in the poem, well, they are dating now, but I learned that sometimes what you want isn't want others want, and that you have to except that, no matter how hard it may be to let them go.
