"Even though the boy is young, you can still see the man in him"

Kids running, screaming, parents talking and gossiping.

The boy sitting on the side, lost in his wondrous world of paper and ink.

The parents worry and whisper, while the kids laugh and tease.

He hides deeper in himself, encases his heart in stone.

His home is his bunker, his fortress, his haven.

Mean, mean, so mean.Wait! Not mean, just scared and hurt.

He does not want to become like them, must not become like them, must not become his fear.

Father, protector, supporter. His father, his friend. Lost without his guide.

Lead to the light, the freedom. Lead to happiness and goodness.

Will not become what he fears most, cannot become, must overcome!

He is happy, he is strength, he is kind, and he is GOOD.

I am with the light, shadows casted from my inner flame, I am out numbered.

Numbers not an issue, numbers are just fear. No fear in my flame.

Invincible, indestructible, unfathomable. I am not alone.

My energy, my source, my rock, and my wall. God.

From 2nd grade to 8th grade I was the outcast, the weird kid on the block. Many times I considered suicide to escape from the pain and humiliation that I experienced day after day. Without my dad and god i would have gone into the dark and depressing place that is a threat to all. Stand firm against the dark. Embrace your own light.
