It isn't always pretty, what needs to pour out
The drops refuse the willing spout
They want a rose without a thorn
They want beauty without scorn
Their monster lies beneath their bed
Love unheard, love unsaid
Afraid that ugly will roar out
Afraid their crush will fill with doubt
But the dirty slimes and schemes
How to steal away the dreams
Like a pot does broil
Monsters hide, looking loyal
On the face, all is dandy
This is kind of like a candy
Sugar seems all sweet and fine
Like a woman drinking wine
Then betrayal strikes
Nothing can be done
The monster pops the bed of sheets
Eats up all your favorite meats
The monster, you’re secret
Does not care if you allow
So … Quick!
Open the spout and
Pour out the drops
Before your monster
Calls the cops
