In the midst of the Dark
I stand there sweating.
My hands are all clammy,
My heart is pounding wildly.
I remember my worst memories,
The gloom represses my joy.
My worst fears have come alive,
Haunting me for all eternity.
My vision is diminished,
And I have lost my wits.
The Golden Path of my Destiny
Fading away, ever so still.
I close my eyes in Prayer,
I bow my head in obeisance.
At once, my fears are vanquished,
At once my Path is illuminated.
