The Future They Protect
Day after each day, these man have no time to rest.
They stand up for their country and those three significant colors.
I get to wake up each day because they make sure I can be free.
They know the consequences
But block out the fear.
Protecting their right to breathe, your right to breathe, and their families right to breathe.
Some of them have fallen in the name of the USA.
Who can never be forgotten.
The impact they have had on your life.
So subtle you don’t even know.
The battle cries and the battle wounds.
From the sacrifices and the blood shed.
None of them ever back down.
They know what they stand for.
The impact and importance of it all.
They deserve more then the thanks we can give them.
The people we lost and the people who have been found.
No one said freedom was free.
This is what we have to pay.
The people willing to do that are the most brave.
They deserve the world and to not ever have to go.
The sad reality of the consequence,
Of the men and women that have fallen.
