I AM A DANCER...
I AM A DANCER
By: Hope Bassett
I am a dancer.
I spin, jump and leap.
I feel pain, fear and failure.
I keep pushing myself.
I practice, smile and perform with confidence.
“I do not dance because I am happy, I am happy because I dance.”
I hear the crowd cheer when I go on, in the midst of my dancing and when I am finished.
I do my best, sometimes I fail, but I keep working at it in order to improve.
“I dance not for fame and glory, but for how I feel on the inside.”
With a little determination and confidence, I CAN and WILL succeed.
I AM A DANCER…
