Pat Fenwick Poem
The season starts in sunny Florida,
shaking off the winter rust.
The beginning of a new season,
a 162 game grind.
As spring training winds down the season begins,
in a cool climate games are played.
The days get longer in the summer,
the dog days begin.
The team's true colors are shown,
while players are traded.
The final push is made,
as the season ends.
The playoffs start with exciting games,
two teams emerge as the best.
Back in the cold autumnal weather,
a champion is crowned.
