spoken subtleties
whispered not in the dark
but in the daybreak of the early september morning.

he speaks, a slower version of normal words
“to be honest” whispers.

well I hate those three words, repelled
almost as bad as ‘i love you’
why choose now to be honest?

no surprises, don’t lie, don’t hate
you don’t need to remind it was all game
honestly that’s how it should go.

we both know we love to much, cliche
punching walls as heads, thoughts, hit in the middle
to hard, all that love hurts
but jesus. i love you.

admit. i know you better then you know you.
beating yourself up every night
cause your nothing worth it
hurting people around every corner.

can’t ever swear a loyalty
won’t stay in one place
bored.

they say im an example
just look at her
he’ll do the same to you.

but baby that can’t be true.
no one ever thinks about the other half
we may just have to admit it was the two
life lesson, don’t put two hard felt lovers in the same room.

and i know i was a person
promises weren’t true.

darling just tell me.
how many others have heard your whispered words
in the daybreak of the september mornings?
