I stand tall,
confident,
Even though they tell me I'm nothing,
I speak loud,
and strong,
Even though no one listens to my plea,
I fight for my rights,
Never giving in,
Even though I know the journey will be long and grueling,
I walk down the street,
Am thrown to the ground,
Beaten until I bleed,
Am left on the side of the road to die,
Punished for wanting to be considered equal,
I lay in a red pool,
My own blood,
Many faces stop and stare,
But no hands come to help me up,
The outcast,
The untouchable
