Fast yet Fun
Feeling the nerves before the run,
three barrels to turn
fast and tight.
Warming up is such a breeze
loping circles
stretching muscles.
Now is the moment.
Time to run-
run for the win
and never looking back.
Now my team
is in the ring.
Get into the lope
ask for the turn.
Flying by the timer
Our run has started
and we are headed for the first barrel Fast and steady
turn tight onto the second.
Time to run
Running for a win.
Never looking back
sitting deep
holding tight.
Never let go.
Turning the second
looking down to third.
One last barrel
then it is home we go.
Faster I go
never letting go.
Sit, turn, look.
We are around the third and
now we are in the home stretch.
Going fast like a cheetahs after their prey.
I hear the hoof beats
of my fast and steady horse.
Time to run-
run for the win.
Never looking back
never letting go.
To the end I must go.
Crossing the timer I hear a roar
like a wave crashing into an ocean’s beach.
It is fast
for sure I am.
Hearing the announcer
I have done well.
Praise my horse
for giving me her all.
Time to run
run for the win.
Never looking back
never letting go
until the end
