Come sit by me
It's not even midnight yet
Haven't seen you in a while
It was about time we met
I really have no plans
Guess I really need to see you
Ask me to cook but you know I can't
So once again I need you
On your way here get something
That you think we could make use of
Or let's talk politics and ice cream
With every light in the house off
If you want we can just stay quiet
And gaze off into the dark
Explore my factions with your big hands
Like you remember every mark
Your wish is my command
As long as you're all mine
Our thoughts perfectly blend
Your heart is my finish line
I only need you right now
To come sit by me
Because I've missed you so much

I thought the same when writing it, in fact. Thank you!

In the end we just want to be close to the ones we love. Great job on this poem because it is about real love and not the fairy tale stuff.
