The True World
This world which is alone in its glory,
A world of disease and greed,
This dark paradox established,
How can I survive this,
This loneliness that surrounds,
And banishes me from those that I love?
That depressing thought,
Breaking the will of those around me,
As I struggle to stay awake.
The voices in my head,
Urging me,
“Succumb” they say,
Their master,
a Power of darkness,
never fades or weakens
pulling me down into insanity.
My sanity is waning,
I can feel myself slipping,
Slipping into Darkness.
A Light is needed.
Yet I cannot find it.
Where is this “Almighty God”
That so many speak of?
He cannot be that powerful,
Or why else would He
Abandon us for so long?
His “Light”,
IF He exists,
Is just another form of darkness.
Those who follow him,
Are just as insane as I.
If thou hast never seen a True Light,
Even the darkest night,
Will seem bright.
