The Thunder Storm

As thunder booms
And lightning crashes
A sense of exuberance fills the air
Gusts of wind shake the house
And my skin prickles
Clouds cover the moon
Small animals flee home with fear in their hearts
But tall trees shake with excitement
Another boom of thunder
And another crash of lightning
Soon this thunderstorm will end
To some it means that peace will return to their souls
And others can't wait for the next big storm
