Falling
I'm falling.
Falling through time and space.
Will anybody catch me?
CAN anybody catch me?
Why does it even matter
if i land or not.
Time and space
are merely distractions
to keep us pursuing
what is surely inevitable.
Suspended here, in between worlds,
the silence crushes my chest,
the noise bursts my ears.
I'm alone yet surrounded.
There is no peace in serenity-
only desolation.
With nothing to grasp
in the cavernous void,
I cling to myself.
To a strength within
which is the chink in my armor.
And with eternity at my fingertips
I let go.
For there is one thing I know,
if this is real,
please just let me fall.
