Cage in which I sit
It's not a want.
It's not a desire.
From all the pain wrought,
is where this need if fired.
This need for hope.
This need for love.
But hope has croaked,
And love is down in Death's Grove
Every night and day again
All the words they have said
Turn to mean nothing
And pain to me they bring
Time to forget
The cage in which I sit.
