Masterpiece
I will remember our time together,
Even when the world is in ashes and
Every familiar face is melting and painting the streets as if they were canvases.
I will always remember how we meddled our way into each others' hearts,
Locked ourselves away,
Deep inside,
Tighter than virgin flesh,
And spent our days slumbering in each others' warmth.
I refuse to simply think of you,
I will never just dream of you.
Instead, I will drink you in,
Slowly, elegantly,
Always tastefully.
I will bathe in you,
Cleanse myself of all impurities and rinse in our sweat and spit.
I will wear your whispers on my chest,
Your promises will be my pulse.
You will be the delightful itch that curls my lips up in the morning,
The feeling of the sun on my face in the heart of winter,
My favorite song on the radio after a painful day
And every raindrop that hides my tears.
I took your hands once and placed them firmly on my breasts.
Your hand-print is still on my heart,
The sole scar I love to show off.
I'll stay with you until those melted canvases are brilliant masterpieces,
And then we will fade together,
Entwined indefinitely in ourselves.
