Once a year,
I step on stage.
Makeup big
and costumes loud.
9 months of work
all for one night
every year.
As the curtain closes,
I smile
because I've just
danced my heart
away

I wrote this piece because I was writing about something that I am passionate about. Dance is something that I am passionate about because I've been dancing for 11 years.
