Once Upon A Time
There's something delicious about the first words of a story,
The way they dance across the tongue,
Slipping into the open air,
Swirling and twirling delicately about one's head.
The sweet lull into adventure,
Escape from this world,
This dreadful, dreadful world,
This world that tells you to follow your heart,
But pushes you down just as you reach for your dreams.
You never can be sure where the jet black ink will take you,
You can slay dragons,
Travel the world,
Be whoever you want to be,
All while safely tucked between printed pages.
Finally.
A Happily Ever After,
To my Once Upon A Time.
