ribbons
the red ribbons on my arms
are starting to itch
when they fade
ribbons of white will take their place
and those will never fade
the diamonds rolling down my face
rip my skin and weave more ribbons
from eyes to chin
those too will fade to white
but will never leave
rolls of ribbons the colour of
blood, bruises, and scars
mummifying my body
ravelling around my head until I can't breath
they might heal
but they will never leave
