Bystander
I sat there and watched...
I didn't do anything about it,
I just stood there like a block,
I feel bad,
Because he was getting pushed around and kicked,
Like a rock in the sand,
And I didn't say anything...
I just stood there and laughed,
And chanted "fight"!
With all the other kids,
How mean and selfish I was,
He got called names,
All day, every day,
Instead of yelling "STOP!",
I just hid in the crowd with everybody else,
And now I ask my self,
Why didn't I do anything?
What was I thinking?
I want to tell him that,
I'm sorry,
I look back on it now and,
And think,
I wasn't just a bystander,
I was a bully too.
