A Daughter's Love, A Father's Disgrace

Confused. Hated. And loved in all the same.
Not understanding why I was to blame.
Lost. Broken. Tears in my face.
Mommy can't explain why it ended this way.
16 years and counting, I wasted my time trying to reach out to you.
A daughter's love, A father's disgrace.
I say i don't care, and maybe I don't, but to be loved by the one who hurt you most
The one who left and never turned back
The one whom disowned me from momma's first batch.
I loved you once, a man I barely know, but never again. 16 years and counting.
My love is replaced by hate- a beautiful ugly sin.
A daughter's love, a daughter's hate.
don't come for me, not today, tomorrow, or ever again.
Goodbye forever, Goodbye ol' friend.
A daughter's love, a daughter's hate
Goodbye forever... It's too LATE.

this was written on a personal level but i feel like i'm not the only one who has this issue so this is for anyone who feels like it's their fault that their daddies aren't in their life. It's not. If daddy can't be a man and come see you then don't stress yourself or beat yourself up about it. It's daddy's loss not yours. keep living your life
