Maybe to matter
Sometimes I sit and wonder could we ever be
But then I think of the times when you wouldn’t even think to see
Could it be because I am not the model in the magazine?
Or the picture that was drawn in your head with the help of society
We are far from the picture perfect couple
But if we have love then they’ll be no trouble
Let’s live life on our terms
And stop ignoring the feelings that are clear as day
So let’s do it we have nothing to loose
If it makes you feel better I’m scared too
But I’d rather get on board and take a chance
Than to see you every day and just glance
Maybe in a different time and a more comfortable place
That you would have the courage to ask me on a date
Before time declares that it’s too late
Not experiencing what we struggled to call fate
In your deepest times I know you think of me
But what you fail to see if the real me
No longer can I wait around for your heart to be unbound
Because my life is too complicated not to matter
Listen to my cries for the last time
Or follow your heart for it tries
To open a path for you and me
So we can be free
