Intertwining

Loop after
loop after
loop of intertwining burgundy,
a system of threads forever looping
and looping
and looping.
Twisting and
turning and
twisting and
turning.
A support system of pastel.

Your eyes breathe into me,
brown,
but your dress is violet.
A violet intersection.

Clarity comes from understanding,
you understood.
Understanding is the truth,
understanding is a leap of faith,
understanding is relying on someone else’s life.

Coincidence,
I’ve found,
is a cushion for intervention,
a disguise.
You disagree.
Puzzle pieces fall in line,
the gravity of time.
Drop a line,
it will shake in the air,
yet lay still on the ground.

The clouds of the mind,
violet,
drifting apart.
Jagged lines spread,
pulling the sky down,
clawing at the earth with ferocity.
But as it reaches the sky blue ground,
it releases.
The lines intertwine.
They slide to the side,
bright blue waves
pushing them off the page.

The current rolls,
back
and forth.
Back,
and forth.
Back,
and forth,
silently contemplating its existence.

Savor the blue water rushing at your legs,
absorb the contentment.
Remember the happiness?
It was the only place you felt safe.

Do you remember walking on the seashore?
Violet intersections did not affect you then.
Looping and spinning and turning and flipping,
a blue roller coaster.

Violet and indigo,
intersecting.
Intertwining.
