Drugs, rapes, and burglaries
When I look in a newspaper
It’s hard to see me
Guns, knives, and bomb threats are pressing in
What is happening to this world?
When instead of stopping,
They only kill more
Children struggling just to survive
but the people around me...
They appear to thrive
