Qualities of Delusion
His fingers tap as he’s in his own world,
A world I want to learn the language of.
A glimpse of the eye is all I ask for,
Just one thought in his mind is all I pray for.
His qualities are like the stars,
Too high above me
But I have my own
Hope,
Hope in that he will love me as I do him
Long suffering,
Everyday I ache for his approval and attention
Trust,
That if he loves another I will not grow cold
Patience,
How can I grow cold when I am numb from waiting?
Joy,
When I look up and he is already looking at me
Faith,
That he may love me as I do him
Or
Are his qualities blinding me into…
Delusion?
