vis·cer·al
The way he believes that they will last forever; the way he knows that one day he will be okay. It’s embodied in this visceral, irrational belief and he just knows, the same way he knows that the sky is blue and there is not a god and the world is full of crazy people. Instinctively engraved, learned not from books or people but a sure understanding that he has discovered within himself. Not necessarily a delusion, although that is an option considered by those who do not agree, but he would never see it that way. It is a gut feeling; an innate certainty that he will never doubt.
Visceral:
1. Relating to deep inward feelings rather than intellect.
2. Love.
