Impressions First and Judgments After
All the "You've been told's"
All the "You've been taught's"
All the "You've been reminded quite a lot's"
All the "Stop it!'s"
With those "Leave me be!'s"
And thoughts of "They don't even know me's"
All the "You know better's"
All the "You're not really trying's"
And all the other quotes Aspie isn't buying.
Still though Aspie wonders:
When did teaching turn to mocking?
And: Why are my responses so shocking?
Aspie knows these answers - obvious as they are.
If you need to know, you'll get some clues,
But first you'll have to walk a week in Aspie's shoes.
