All Is Not Lost

I stand at a cross walk
Abandoned and alone
The love of my life has fled
I see no one around for miles
It is dark and hazy
It is very hard to see
I squint and see a figure emerge
Another emerges
Another
And another
They all close around me
And fill me with love and joy
These people care for me
I was wrong…
I am not alone
I have my family right here
The friends who truly care for me
All is not lost
