Eyes On Me
I can’t mess up
People are watching me
My hands tremble
As I try
As I strive to be perfect
I want to set a good example
I need to feel accomplished
Then, it happens
I lose my focus
I mess up
My heart drops
I feel so embarrassed
But when I look around the room
No one is watching me
They never have
Everyone has messed up
In some way
My heart feels lighter
There are no eyes on me
Nobody is perfect
