Restless

It’s like the pale moonlight that creeps into your room
and forces its glowing radiance through quivering eyelids
The moonlight that keeps you awake and restless
Praying to be at peace
But instead of drawing your curtains
You let the moonlight creep
for it is such a nice change
From the usual surrounding darkness

It’s like the sunday mornings when the world is still quiet
And you find yourself silently tracing the beat of your heart
A birds chirping breaks the silence
And draws you from tranquility
Sounding so harsh and sudden
But you let the music play on, until it becomes a beautiful song

It’s like those late afternoons in April
When you sit at a park
Watching children play and grass blades shiver with the breeze
The warmth of the sun on your back
Peeking it’s rays through feathery clouds
And as you feel the sky clear
You’re tempted to take a look at the source of todays beauty
but your eyes fear the crude light
And cannot see the beauty felt
Unless fog were to wrap its arms around the sky

It is drowning yourself
Because the ocean is beautiful
