Filmwork
something unright
the first thing he noticed
about her.
the way her face
fit into the shape of an iron pan
flat, cold, unyielding
tilted down at odd angles when
she thought no one was looking
moisture dripping down
one side
of her face, the long slightly-crooked line
of her nose.
somebody throws a bone
and she looks up, a smile
scatter-plotted on her face like
a fish tossed into an ocean
bursting.
something unright
and she goes back to studying her screen
as if it were the back ridges of his hand.
