writing poems
Writing poems has always been hard for me
No matter what I wrote, it has been hard you see
It was like I was trying to write
a whole dictionary
But I try, try, try
And I fail, fail, fail
But I won’t give up on
Writing poetry
Maybe one day
I’ll write a poem
that all will see
It’ll be on billboards and posters
And even on TV
Maybe I’ll write about love
And how it’s like a rose
And how it grows when we’re together
or how it dies when we’re apart
Maybe I’ll write about that movie
All the girls love
The one about the vampire
And how he falls in love
Maybe I’ll write about a princess
Who falls in love with her prince
But then gets kidnapped
By an really evil witch
Maybe I write about my ex- boyfriend
And the jerk he is
And how we’re never ever getting back together
P.S I got that from Taylor Swift
Maybe I’ll write a poem about soldiers
And the great people they are
How they fight for our freedom
How they fight for all
But I know I’ll never be like Dr. Seuss
With his Green eggs and ham
My poem will never say
“I don’t like them Sam-I-am”
All I can be in me
So teacher if you are reading this
Please take into mind
That writing this poem will always be hard for me
But one day
I’ll write a poem
That will be famous someday
